Peter and Amy from their 'Freestyler' showcase

Peter and Amy started dancing together in August 2004, both with little more than a few months of dancing under their belt. They teamed up to perform a routine taught for the Ceroc & Modern Jive ball in October 2004 and loved learning and performing the routine so much that they decided to enter the Ceroc Australia competition held not long after. They competed in a won the Intermediate Rising starts section and placed in the team category as well. From that point on they were hooked.

Peter and Amy went on the quest for dance knowledge with great hunger. They travelled to events, watched DVDs, and organised lessons with a range of different teachers. They competed in all of the competitions they could and learnt from the best Modern Jive dancers in Australia.

With help from their coaches Nicky Haslam and Robert Winter, Peter and Amy went on to achieve success in many competitions and many categories including freestyle, showcase, teams, aerials and dance with a stranger.

Peter and Amy still have a great hunger for knowledge and still pursue it relentlessly, organising sessions with the dancers they respect at every opportunity. Dancing is a journey and there is always more to learn...
