Teaching and Events

Peter and Amy love to share what they have learnt about dancing with other people by teaching classes, workshops, private lessons and at events. They made their teaching debut in 2006 teaching Beginners Progression for the Ceroc & Modern Jive dance company in Australia and since then they have been invited to teach at Modern Jive events in several different countries.

Jive Addiction Southport weekender - UK

In late 2007 - early 2008 Peter and Amy were invited to teach at Jive Addiction weekenders, including consecutive Southport weekends and Scarborough. Southport being UK's largest Modern Jive event gave Peter and Amy the opportunity to teach their favourite material from Jive technique and styling through to advanced moves to classes containing 100's of people.

Esroc - Jive Moderno launch - Uruguay

Peter and Amy were invited to the Esroc Jive Moderno launch in Uruguay in 2007 by Pablo Lara. This was South America's first taste of Modern Jive. Over a period of a couple of weeks Peter and Amy, as part of a small team of dancers, helped teach classes and workshops and did several performances to spectacular audiences at venues including Montevideo's exclusive "W Lounge", and on Saeta TV's (Channel 10) morning program "Con Mucho Gusto".

Competition Results

Peter and Amy have been competing in Modern Jive since October 2004 where they started in the Intermediate rising stars category. Since then they have worked their way up to the top level, wining competitions in Australia, New Zealand and the UK.
